Frequently Asked Questions

Does my insurance company cover medical care and/or physical therapy?

We accept most insurance plans but your coverage will determine how insurance will pay and what your patient portion will be. Most major insurances do cover medical care and/or physical therapy. Check with your insurance agent or your policy to determine your plan benefits. We will also verify your benefits to double check your insurance coverage.

I don't have insurance coverage. Are there any payment options?

DX supports both your health and financial needs. We'll be happy to arrange a payment plan for patients with limited or no insurance. We accept cash, check, Visa, and MasterCard.

Is the physician's referral required to be treated at DX Physical Therapy?

Most of the insurance plans require a physician's referral. You may acquire one from either your doctor or, if more convenient, choose one of our doctor's in order to get therapy.

Do you accept walk-ins?

Due to the nature of care we provide, appointments are recommended. However, we are occasionally able to accommodate same-day appointments.

How many physical therapy visits will I need?

There are many factors that impact the frequency and duration of therapy, including; diagnosis, pre-existing conditions, and lifestyle. However, we'll work at returning you to normal daily activities as quickly and safely as possible.

How long will my appointments last?

Treatment sessions vary, but in general, you can expect to spend about sixty to ninety minutes at each appointment.

What should I wear to my therapy appointment?

Clothing appropriate for a gym setting is best; particularly clothing that allows easy access to the body part we are treating ( e.g. shorts for knee patients, tank top for shoulder patients).
